Group Copy Screen

This screen allows you to copy a remote machines local groups and their user membership to the local machine.

Specifies the host which contains the local groups you want to copy.

Groups can have many types of members including local users, domain users and domain groups.

 

This option will copy all members that are local users. If the local user does not exist on the target host, it will only import that local user   'Automatically import remote local users' is selected.

This will import any local users which are members of the group being copied. You need to specify a default password for the user when created on the target host.

This will copy members of the group which are domain users and domain groups. It is assumed that the target host is connected to the same domain.

If the group being copied already exists on the target host, this overwrite all existing memberships on target host.

 

If this is not selected, memberships are appended and/or merged.

When you connect to the remote host (via the connect button) all the local groups on that host willl appear on the left 'Remote Groups' list.

 

Select the Groups you want to copy by moving them to the rightmost 'Groups to copy' list.

This will hide local groups which are built-in to Windows Operating Systems.

 

Example:   Administrators, Power Users, etc

This will start the copy process.
