Share Copy Screen

This screen allows you to copy a remote machines local shares and their share permissions to the local machine.

Specifies the host which contains the shares you want to copy.

If a remote share defines permissions for local users/groups that don't exist on the local host , those local users/groups will be copied.

 

Mapping a remote local user/group to a local user/group is made by name, not SID.

 

A default password for copied users must be supplied.

When you connect to the remote host (via the connect button) all the shares on that host willl appear on the left 'Remote Shares' list.

 

Select the Shares you want to copy by moving them to the right-most 'Shares to copy' list.

This will start the copy process.

Name refers to the name of the share that will be copied

Type refers to the type of share that will be copied.

Source Path refers to the share path on the machine it is defined on.

Destination Path refers to the share path on the local machine when it is copied.

 

Select the share to edit by selecting them from 'Shares to copy' list.
